Activ’M is a self-adhesive silicone dressing composed of a polyurethane film and a thin layer of next-generation medical-grade silicone, selected for its biocompatibility.

INDICATIONS

Activ’M is indicated:

  • For preventive use on closed wounds to protect against post-surgical or burn scars.
  • For curative use on recent and old scars, hypertrophic scars, or keloids.

Activ’M is indicated for children from 6 months of age. Activ’M is indicated from 2 years of age; if used before this age, consult a healthcare professional.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Activ’M should not be used in the following cases:

  • On open wounds
  • In cases of maceration
  • On mucous membranes or near the eyes
  • Do not ingest, ingestion may cause choking
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Do not use the same dressing for more than 7 days

SIDE EFFECTS

  • In case of a skin reaction (redness, irritation, etc.), discontinue use and consult your doctor.
  • In case of maceration, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
  • If ingested, consult your doctor.
  • If it comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly and consult your doctor.
  • In case of a serious side effect, discontinue use and contact the manufacturer or the Competent Authority of your country.

APPLICATION METHOD

  • Before application, thoroughly clean and dry the scar. It is recommended to clean and dry the scar once a day.
  • Remove the dressing from its individual sachet. The dressing may be cut to size.
  • Ensure that the dressing fully covers the scar and extends at least ½ cm beyond the scar on all sides.
  • Begin by removing part of the protective film and position the adhesive side on the start of the scar. Gently peel away the protective film while applying the dressing over the scar.
  • Change the dressing every 3–5 days when it no longer adheres properly. Ideally, the dressing should be worn 24 hours a day.

The recommended minimum treatment duration is 2 to 4 months. Treatment may be extended for up to 1 year.

DISPOSAL

After use, the dressing must be disposed of with household waste. The packaging should be disposed of in the recycling bin. These indications are valid for France only, refer to local sorting instructions.
